Summer Camps

This year we are offering the following:  

Music Camps

AGES 5-9:  In this camp we will be teaching basic vocal skills and age appropriate music theory through learning traditional and popular songs accompanied by piano or guitar, culminating in a concert at the end of each week.  The children will also have the opportunity to sample playing various instruments such as drums, ukulele, bass and guitar.  

Each week will feature a different set of songs, grouped together thematically.

Camp is from 8:30am to 1:00pm daily.  Snacks will be provided, please bring a sack lunch.

July 17th-21st, Beatle Mania: we'll learn some of those classic Beatles tunes all kids love to sing (Yellow Submarine, Oh-Bla-Di, etc) using solfege whenever possible          

July 24th-28th, American Traditions: we'll teach some of the traditional American favorites that we grew up with.

July 31st-Aug 4th, Pirates & Whalers: we'll be learning old New England shanties sung by sailors, whalers and seamen from around the 18th century and beyond          

Aug 7th-11th, The Best Of:  We will be choosing the favorites from all previous camps to return to this last week.  If most of the kids here are repeat campers we will choose if preferred, new songs from the above themes.   

AGES 12-18:  ROCK ENSEMBLE:  This is for kids who already have some musical background.  Experience with at least one of the following:  drums, guitar, keyboards (piano), bass and/or vocals.  The kids will be trained in music theory, collaboration and improvisation through playing approved songs of their choosing.

COST:  Each camp is $112 for the week, which includes snacks and registration.  A minimum of 5 students and maximum of 10 are allowed for any camp, except rock ensemble, where 5 kids are the maximum.
